Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on September 12th, 2025.

We at Education Beyond Science Inclusion and Diversity Centre are working to make our site https://www.ebscentre.org accessible to people with disabilities.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

The EBS Inclusion & Diversity Centre is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and, in doing so, aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as well as the requirements of the EU Web Accessibility Directive (Directive (EU) 2016/2102).

Measures to support accessibility include:

  • Using semantic HTML and clear content structure.

  • Ensuring sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds.

  • Providing text alternatives for non-text content (e.g., images, icons).

  • Supporting keyboard navigation and screen reader compatibility.

  • Regularly testing our website against accessibility standards.

Limitations and feedback

Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet fully comply with accessibility standards. We are committed to improving these areas.

We aim to respond to accessibility-related requests within 5 business days.
